virtualized Home Subscriber Server
vHSS
vHSS manages subscriber information such as subscriber numbers and authentication information on a database, and realizes an LTE service by connecting to the MME that controls call processing.
Virtualization technology enables operation on a general-purpose IA server, which saves power and space, and lowers TOC.
List of Functions
vHSS supports the S6a interface specified in 3GPP. The main functions are described below.

- Stores subscriber information received from the MME in a database. - Provides subscriber information when requested by the MME. - Provides management functions (register, edit, delete, browse) for subscriber data through a maintenance interface. |

| 3 | Location information management | - When a terminal is moved, receives a request to update location information from the MME and registers, edits or deletes the database of the relevant terminal. |
| 4 | Synchronization between Mated-Pair | - Enables synchronization of subscriber data between bases and strengthens redundancy by positioning (Mated-Pair configuration) vHSS at two bases. |
| 5 | Operation and maintenance | - Configures settings and displays system data and office data. - Manages information such as system processes, logs, failures, alarms, maintenance history, and statistical information. |
Regional Redundant Function
Even if a failure occurs in a particular region, the remote synchronization function based on remote vHSS enables operation to continue without interrupting the service.
